Acceptance
By using Locals Forecast you agree to these Terms and to the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) for the iOS app. If you don’t agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 13 (or the minimum age in your country).
The marketplace
Forecasters are independent creators, not employees of Locals Forecast. We are a marketplace and do not verify forecast accuracy before publication — subscriber ratings are the accuracy signal. Forecasts are opinions.
User content & community standards
You are responsible for content you post (forecasts, previews, reviews, profile, display name). There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You may not post content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, defamatory, deceptive, spam, or that endangers others.
To keep the community safe:
- Any user can report a forecast, review, or forecaster from within the app.
- Any user can block another user to stop seeing their content.
- We review reports and remove objectionable content and offending users within 24 hours, and may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these standards.
Subscriptions & payments
Subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly and renew automatically until cancelled. On iOS, purchases and renewals are handled by Apple and managed in your Apple ID subscription settings; elsewhere they are processed by Stripe. Locals Forecast retains a 10% platform fee; the remaining 90% is paid to the forecaster (Apple also retains its standard commission on iOS). Cancel anytime — access continues through the end of the paid period. Refunds on iOS are handled by Apple; elsewhere they are at the forecaster’s discretion except where law requires otherwise.
Your account
Keep your credentials secure. You can delete your account at any time from the app (Account → Delete account), which cancels billing and removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Prohibited use
You may not publish false, misleading, or harmful content, abuse other users, scrape the service, or attempt to bypass payment or security controls. Violations may result in suspension or termination.
Disclaimer & limitation of liability
Forecasts are opinions and may be wrong. Do not make safety decisions based solely on a forecast. The service is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Locals Forecast is not liable for surfing injuries, property damage, or losses arising from use of the service.
Changes
We may update these Terms; continued use after an update means you accept the changes.
